Type information
Schlesien (Silva 1996-to date). Lectotype: drawing no. 556 image d (Ecdraw556) from Ehrenberg's Collection : fig. 1, e-g (permanently preserved material from strain SAG 1224-30 deposited at the Herbarium of the Biology Faculty at the Univ. of Warwaw. Poland) (epitype) (Karnkowska-Ishikawa et al. 2013: 621). Notes: Culture representing the epitype: strain SAG 1224-30 deposited at the Sammlung von Algenkulturen Pflanzenphysiologisches Institut der Universitat Gottingen (SAG), Germany.
