Type Information
Type locality: Algoa Bay, Cape Province, South Africa; (Silva & al. 1996: 595) Lectotype: S s.n.; (De Clerck 2003: 183) Notes: De Clerck (2003) notes that the type locality is Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He states that a specimen from S was selected as lectotype, as the main collection in B is destroyed and KIEL, where part of the Suhr herbarium is located, does not contain any specimens of Z. naevosa, annotated by Suhr. Although the specimen in S does not correspond with Suhr's original drawing, it is annotated by Suhr and matches the protologue completely. According to Womersley (1987: 192), the type was collected by Ecklon and it may be located in LD.
