Type locality: Rivulet near Dumbryden Quarries ; (Rhode, Pappas & Stoermer 2001: 178) Holotype: BM; 81187 (Rhode, Pappas & Stoermer 2001: 178) Notes: Freshwater, Scotland (Index Nominum Algarum). Rhode et al. cite 1820 (presumably collection date).
