The type species (lectotype) of the genus Sebdenia is Sebdenia monardiana (Montagne) Berthold.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Lesleigha yamadae (Okamura & Segawa) G.W.Saunders & Kraft.

Type locality: Susaki, Izu Province, Japan, either Kumomi (34º43' N; 138º 45' W) or Miyakejima (34º05' N; 139º32' E); (Kraft & Saunders 2011: 431) Type: SAP; 061730 Notes: Type specimen: illustrated by Segawa [1938, pl. 34(1)] (Kraft & Saunders (2011: 431). Kumomi; Miyake-zima (INA).
