Type locality: Japan: Hokkaido: Yageshiri I., Otaru Bay (viii. 1910) (Silva 1996-to date). Type: TI herb. Yendo (Yoshida 1998: 1008). Notes: Syntypes from Yenoshima near Tokyo Bay; Oshoro and Yageshiri [Yangeshiri] I., near Otaru. Lectotype fide Yoshida, 1991: 6, pl. 23 (INA).
