Type locality: Bahia de los Angeles, Sea of Cortez (Kosman, Thomsen & Østergaard 1993: 117). Holotype: Fig. 1: 7-8 January 1990; Surface plankton; depth: o m, temperature: 17ºC, Salinity: 33‰. (Kosman, Thomsen & Østergaard 1993: 117).
