Type locality: soil from peat bog near Elkhart, Indiana, USA; (Archibald & Bold 1970: 34) (Kawasaki et al. 2015: 1012) Notes: "Holotype: Archibald & Bold (1970), figs 24, 63 [based on culture 18T2A [= UTEX 1777]" (Kawasaki et al. 2015: 1012). However, no type was indicated by Archibald & Bold (1970).
