Type locality: Maple Farm, Paupack, Pike County, Pennsylvania (Bold & MacEntee 1973: 155). Type: 29 March 1972; soil samples in a vegetable garden and white pine (P. strombus) forest. Chicago Field Museum of Natural History (Bold & MacEntee 1973: 155).
