Type locality: Species anno 1958 e verme Convuluta roscoffensi in Freto Oceani oppidum gallicum Roscoff lecto a L.Provasoli exempta, subnumero Ca2 culta, postea in Plymouth Angliae ab auctore sub numero 372 propagata [Species isolated in the year 1958 from the worm Convuluta roscoffensis near the French town of Roscoff in the straits of the ocean bed by L. Provasoli, under the number of Ca2, and propagated afterwards by the English authors under the number 372 in Plymouth.] (Parke & Manton 1967: 461).
