This is a marine species.
Type locality: at extreme south tip of Isla Guadelupe, Baja California, Mexico (Silva 1996-to date). Type: EYD 8337; 18.xii. 1949; outer reef pools . HB. AHFH Notes: Isotype: US-42350, 18 Dec. 1949, E.Y. Dawson (Mamoozadeh & Freshwater 2011: 276).
