This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Symbiochloris reticulata (Tschermak-Woess) Skaloud, Friedl, A.Beck & Dal Grande.

Station Lunz; (Index Nominum Algarum) Type: in Catillaria chalybeia; (Index Nominum Algarum) Notes: Lectotype (designated by Skaloud et al., 2016: 613): Tschermak-Woess (1951), fig. 1. Epitype (designated by Skaloud et al., 2016: 613): cryopreserved strain SAG 53.87; type locality: Tenerife (Spain), Roque Chinobre; sample (lichen Lobaria pulmonaria collected by Elizabeth Tschermak-Woess in 1978.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), reticulate, netted, marked with a network (Stearn 1973).
