This is a marine species.
Type information
Type locality: Corner Inlet, Victoria, Australia (Woelkerling 1998: 286). Holotype: J. Gabriel; Jan.-Feb. 1897; 7-9 fathoms. TRH B2-1721, includes slides 63, 64, 515 and four unnumbered slides (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 242). Notes: Isotypes: PC, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym). BM, algal box collection 719.
