Type locality: Mangareva, Gambier Islands, Tuamotou Archipelago (Woelkerling 1998: 291). Holotype: Seurat; not indicated; PC no. 17, General Herbarium box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym) (Woelkerling 1998: 291). Notes: Also TRH, Hariot no. 17 (A10-485) includes slides 1435 and 1436 (Woelkering et al. 2005: 77).
