Type locality: Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, Sussex Co., Delaware (Desianti, Potapova & Beals 2015: table 1). Lectotype: fig. 33: 7 October 1953; 6000 yards up the canal from outfall ditch of sewage of Lewes; on algae on mud. ANSP circled specimen located 9 mm east and 16.7 mm south of the benchmark circle on slide ANSP GC44912 (Desianti, Potapova & Beals 2015: 102, table 1).
