Type locality: Switzerland: Thunersee; (Index Nominum Algarum) Notes: Bern. "Neotype: Perty 1852, Kenntn. Klein Lebensf., pl. X, fig. 7, third cell from the left in the lower row of cells designated by Marin et al. (2003). Epitype: Figure 3d designated herein that supports the neotype (Perty 1852, pl. 10, fig. 7, third cell from the left in the lower row of cells)" (Lukomska-Kowalczyk & al. 2019).
