The type species (lectotype) of the genus Rhodoglossum is Rhodoglossum lanceolatum (Harvey) J.Agardh.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Mazzaella hemisphaerica f. oblongo-ovata (H.Mikami) T.Yoshida.
