The type species (holotype) of the genus Dilabifilum is Dilabifilum arthropyreniae (Vischer & Klement) Tschermak-Woess.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Paulbroadya prostrata (Broady & Ingerfeld) Darienko & Pröschold.

Type Information
Holotype locality: Cape Royds, Ross Island, Antarctica; (Broady & Ingerfeld 1993: 26) Holotype: P.A. Broady; 4 January 1985; from green epilithic crusts on rocks and stones; CHR; 401416 (Broady & Ingerfeld 1993: 26) Notes: Holotype number misprinted as 40416 (INA). Epitype (designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017 in support of the iconotype): The authentic strain SAG 23.92 is permanently cryopreserved in a metabolically inactive state (cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen) in the SAG, University of Göttingen, German. Iconotype designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017 as Broady & Ingerfeld (1993: fig. 1 a-c).
