Lectotype locality: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. (Drouet 1968: 175). Lectotype: Rev. Francis Wolle No. 50; freshwater pond. FH (Drouet 1968: 175). Notes: Speziale & Dyck 1992: 705) also designated as lectotype another specimen collected by Wolle; however, Drouet's selection must be followed (Kenins 2017: 1).
