This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Pseudopolyneura hyacinthina (J.C.Kang & M.S.Kim) M.J.Wynne.

Holotype locality: Chujado, Jeju province, Korea (35º58'04.28"N, 126º17'08.64E); (Kang & Kim 2014: 3) Holotype (tetrasporophyte): 4 June 2013; 12 m depth; JNUB; JN130604-1 (Kang & Kim 2014: 3) Notes: Isotypes: JNUB (JN130604-3, JN130604-5 to -9) and KB (NIBRAL0000137942-3).
