Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Microglena reginae (Ettl & J.C. Green) Demchenko, Mikhailyuk & Proschold.

Type locality: Per Haridy near Roscoff, Brittany, France; (Index Nominum Algarum) Lectotype: Ettl and Green 1973, text-fig. 1A: strain SAG 17.89 (cryopreserved) in the Sammlung von Algenkulturen, Univ. of Gottlingen, Germany (epitype) (Demchenko & al. 2012: 287) Notes: ITS-2 DNA Barcode: Barcode K in Fig. 3 (Demchenko et al. 2012). Data in INA: isolated from Per Haridy near Roscoff, Brittany, France by Dr. M. Parke iv.1966; Holotype = text-fig !A-G; sandy intertidal habitat.
