This is a terrestrial species.
Type locality: Vallée des Branloires, Ile de la Possession, Crozet Archipelago (Southern Indian Ocean) (Van de Vijver et al. 2011: 290). Holotype: B. Van de Vijver; 30 November 1999; BR 4196 (from sample BA087) (Van de Vijver et al. 2011: 290). Notes: Isotype: PLP-161 (UA), BRM-ZU7/59.
