Type locality: south of the pass at Cap Goulvain (21°34.087'S, 165°14.703'E), Grande Terre Island, New Caledonia; (D'Archino et al. 2015: 312) Holotype: C. Payri; 11 December 2009; epizoic on the outer coral-reef slope, attached at the base of living corals, occurring from the lower-intertidal zone down to 40 m; IRD; 11113 (D'Archino et al. 2015: 312, fig. 22) Notes: Isotypes" IRD 11111, IRD 11112. Sequence data: Genbank KP267708 (IRD 11113).
