Type locality: Isla Guadalupe, Baja California Mexico; (Dawson 1960: 49) Holotype: Dawson 8607; Dec. 20, 1949.; 1.7ft. tide level, 2.5 miles north of South Bluff.; Herb. A. Hanock Foundation; (Dawson 1960: 49) Notes: Isotype in Herb. Beaudette Foundation. Less well-developed examples, D 8379, from tide pools at the extreme south end of Isla Guadalupe, Dec.28, 1949, are also in Herb. Hancock and Herb. Beaudette.
