The type species (lectotype) of the genus Acrochaetium is Acrochaetium secundatum (Lyngbye) Nägeli.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Colaconema dasyae (Collins) Stegenga, I.Mol, Prud'homme & Lokhorst.
