Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Devaleraea ramentacea (Linnaeus) Guiry.

Syntype localities: Crescit copiose in profundis maris Albis, et praecipue ad frequentes insulas sinus Candalanskoy; (Lepechin 1775: 476)

Adjective (Latin), with tubes, approaching a hollow cylinder.
