Type locality: Tepoca Bay, Sonora, Mexico (Dawson 1962: 8). Holotype: 4 February 1940; 22 metres depth, sandy bottom with abundant worm-tubes, etc. Herb. Allan Hancock Foundation 54 (Dawson 379-40) (Dawson 1962: 8).
