Type Species
The type species (lectotype) of the genus Delesseria is Delesseria sanguinea (Hudson) J.V.Lamouroux.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Congregatocarpus kurilensis (Ruprecht) M.J.Wynne.
Type Information
Syntype localities: "... developed under favorable living conditions in the Sea of Japan and the Tatar Strait, at a depth of 6-35 m. Ussuri Bay (TNPS), about. Askold at Cape Stupench: atogo, (Schmidt); Vladimir Bay, near Vatovsky Cape (Tar.); Cape Sosunova, Gilyak (TONS)." [Grows in the subtidal and intertidal zones on the rocky substrate, at depths of 6-35 m.
