This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Protoperidinium conicoides (Paulsen) Balech.
Type Information
Syntype localities: "round Iceland and the Faeroes, frequently in the fjords and near the coast."; (Paulsen 1905: 41) Notes: Fig, 2 a-e in Paulsen (1905) shows cells from "W. Iceland".
