Lectotype locality: Lumu-Lumu shoal (Pulau Lumulumu), Borneo Bank, Indonesia; (Silva & al. 1996: 254) Lectotype: L; 943.7-40 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 335) Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Verheij & Woelkerling (1992: 282).
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), producing offsets, bearing progeny as offshoots (Stearn 1973).
