Notes:

Abstract:
The flrst data on the species diversjty of soil algae in mountain tundra ecosystems of the Pre-Polar Urals are obtained. 119 species of algae were found frotn 5 divisions, 1 ? classes, 23 orders, 44 families, and 60 genera. Most of the species belong to Chlorophyta, Bacillariophyta and Cyanoprokaryota. When passing from one altitudinal zone to another one of higher altitude, the decrease of the species diversity takes place. One species was recorded as new to the soils ofRussia, another species as new to the Russian Arctic and the Urals. Six species of green algae are found for the first time in the soils of the European North.
