The type species (lectotype) of the genus Campylodiscus is Campylodiscus clypeus (Ehrenberg) Ehrenberg ex Kützing.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Campylodiscus radiosus f. minutus (Grunow) De Toni.
