This is a marine species.
Type locality: Cangaluyan Island (16°22'35"N, 119°59'31.3"E) Bolinao, Pangasinan Province, Philippines (Senerpont Domis, & al. 2003: 1035). Holotype: L.N. de Senerpont Domis; 12 May 2001; on exposed reef platform, covering rocky substrate and dead corals at 1-1.5 m depth. L Nov02-01627 (Senerpont Domis, & al. 2003: 1035). Notes: Isotype: herbarium of the Marine Science Institute, Quezon City, Philippines.
