Type locality: 57º3.9'N, 02º30.2'W, North Sea off Scotland (Tilmann & al. 2010: 173). Holotype: June 2007; marine plankton. Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum, Centre of Excellence for Dinophyte Taxonomy, Germany SEM-stub CEDiT2009H4 (Tilmann & al. 2010: 173, 169). Notes: Isotype: Formalin-fixed sample (CEDiT2009I5) in same herbarium as holotype.
