Type locality: Insulae Kurilensis Boreale, Insula Atlasovi, promontorium Vladimiri, Rossia [Atlasov Island, northern Kurile Islands, Russia] (Selivanova & Zhigadlova 2010: 499). TYpe: V.V. Oshurkov no. 4735; 21.VII.1989 ; Notes: In Kamchatka Divisio Inst. Pacifico Geographico Acad. Sci. Rossiae conservatur.

Adjective (Latin), with entire leaves.

General environment
This is a marine species.

Gametophyton masculinum laminaris, 235 mm altum, 115 mm latum in parte latissi mae, lamina tenuicoriacea, submembranacea, inte grifolia, cum apicem rotundata, basin versus cuneatim angustata, margine leviter undulata, siccatione plicatafit. Lamina in parte sterile atrorosea (e classificatione colorum RAL no. 3014—rosa vetusta), in parte fertile flavescit. Rami et prolificationis desunt. In sectione transversali in parte sterile frons ad 163 µm lata. Medulla 1–3stratosa e cellulis magnis hyalinis ovalis, longitudinaliter versis, 75–137 µm in diametro, quae in dimensionibus ad super ficiem decrescunt. Cortex uniseriatus e cellulis coloratis parvulis 5.0–6.5 × 7.5–10.0 µm componitur, in parte sterile paulo obscurioribus quam in parte reproductive. Spermatangia 5.0 × 2.5 µm, Palmariacearum typica, per paria in cellulis matricalis evolvant. Spermatangia in sori magni amorphi congregata, in maculae per totam frondem dissipata, parte centrale anguste excepta. Tetrasporangia ignota sunt. Gametophyton femineum non reperrimus.
