This is a freshwater/terrestrial species.
Type locality: Monolith Lake, James Ross Island (Van de Vijver et al. 2011). Holotype: L. Nedbalová; 1 February 2008; BR 4194 (from sample JRI2008-11 (Van de Vijver et al. 2011: 290). Notes: Isotype: PLP-160 (UA), BRM-ZU7/58.
