Holotype locality: Koritza, Albania (Burdigalian) (Aguirre et al. 2012: 310). Holotype: Bourcart; PC rhodolith and fragments and two thin sections in box 48-1/97 (Aguirre et al. 2012: 310, figs 26-30).
This is a fossil species seemingly without extant populations.
