Type locality: dwarf mangrove forest located between Mowry and Military canals east L31E levee near Biscayne Bay, Florida, U.S.A. (25°28'24.3"N, 80°20'45.8"W) (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 410). Holotype: on artificial substrata (glass slides) in a dwarf mangrove forest. ANSP slide ANSP G.C 5803 (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 410, fig. 77). Notes: Isotype: Slide CAS 222014.
