This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Reckertia fusiformis (H.A.Thomsen, G.Hällfors, S.Hällfors & Ikävalko) Cavalier-Smith.

Origin of Species Name
Adjective B (Latin), fusiform; swollen at the middle and tapering to each end like a spindle; narrowly ellipsoid (Stearn 1973).
