Type locality: Oosthoek, Timor Ri, Indonesia (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 355). Lectotype: [Weber-van Bosse]. Siboga Expedition, station 409; 17.i.1900; no habitat data. L 991.239-256 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 355). Notes: Lectotype fragment at TRH B18-2635.

Participle B (Latin), imitating, resembling (Stearn 1973).
