Distributional notes
This species seemingly was introduced into the Mediterranean (Verlaque et al. 2015: 205) via shipping and the Suez Canal, probably to multiple locations, where it enhibits invasive behaviour. It was first found at Piraeus, Greece, in 1908. - (5 Nov 2015) - M.D. Guiry
