This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Husseya rubra (Harvey) P.C.Silva
Type locality: Western Australia (probably south of Fremantle) (Silva & al. 1996: 501). Holotype: Clifton; TCD, Herb. Harvey (Womersley 2003: 422). Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Gordon-Mills & Womersley (1984: 149).

Adjective (Latin), red (Stearn 1973).
