Type locality: sydsiden av [= south side of] Royal Sound ca 1 mil mundingen [= about 10 km from the mouth], Kerguelen (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 72). Holotype: Gundersen; 1898; no detail. TRH A9-442 (Woelkerling & al. 2005: 72).

Participle A (Latin), united, closely connected, connected (Stearn 1973).
