Type locality: Adam Tarn, West Falkland (Flower 2005: 63). Holotype: in subaquatic sediment and aquatic mosses (greater than 10 m water depth); upland oligotrophic lake. BM 101143 (Flower 2005: 63). Notes: Iconotype: fig. 67 (also see Frustulia 'spec.' pl. 94, fig 8, Rumrich et al. 2000).
