Holotype locality: Parque de Juventud, Calle Primero, Colon, Caribbean coast of Panama (9º22.004' N, 079º54.259' W) (Mamoozadeh & Freshwater 2012: 335). Holotype: Brian Wysor; 20 May 2009; growing intertidally on synthetic plastic among rubble. US Alg. Coll. 211334 (=PHYCOS-2613) including US Algal Collection slides nos. -8611 thru-8614 (Mamoozadeh & Freshwater 2012: 335). Notes: Isotype in WNC, WNC32156. Herbarium sheets and permanent slides.
