Echinocaulon nigrescens Feldmann
Type locality: "Ilot Joinville, Cherchell, Algérie" [Algeria] (Furnari et al. 2018: 1). Lectotype: "rochers battus, dans le cuvettes" (epitype) 21 January 1930; L herb. Weber-Van Bosse (Dreckmann et al. 2018: 1 (fig. 1)).
Origin of species name
Participle (Latin), becoming black (Stearn 1973).
