Nomenclatural note
Superfluous name for Neoabbottiella valentinae Pisareva & Klochkova (Arts 11.2 and 52.1, Melbourne Code). However, if Neoabbottiella palmata is adjudged to be a entity taxonomically different to Neoabbottiella valentinae Pisareva & Klochkova, the former name can be employed correctly (Art 52.3. Melbourne Code. A name that was nomenclaturally superfluous when published is not illegitimate on account of its superfluity if it has a basionym (which is necessarily legitimate; see Art. 6.10), or if it is based on the stem of a legitimate generic name. When published it is incorrect, but it may become correct later."). Additionally, Schizymenia dubyi f. palmata incorrectly cited as basionym; however, Art. 41.6 (Melbourne Code) specifies: "For names published on or after 1 January 1953, errors in the citation of the basionym or replaced synonym, including incorrect author citation (Art. 46), but not omissions (Art. 41.5), do not preclude valid publication of a new combination, name at new rank, or replacement name." - (05 March 2018) - M.D. Guiry
