Fucus rangiferina R.Brown ex Turner
Type locality: Kents Islands, Bass Strait, Australia (Womersley 1973: 256). Type (tetrasporangial): R. Brown (no. 256); 1803-4; BM (Womersley 1973: 256). Notes: According to Womersley (1994: 258) the type is from Georgetown, Tasmania and the holotype (Gunn 1279) is in TCD. These data seem to apply to Sphaerococcus australis Harvey 1844, the basionym of Callophyllis coccinea (Harvey in Hooker & Harvey) Kützing.
