Type locality: Tiefgrund, Melville Bay 74º 40' N, off the Devils Thumb [NW Greenland]; (Kaczmarksa & Jahn 2006: 153) Lectotype: 11 July 1850 (Penny's Expedition); Seabed; BM; (Kaczmarksa & Jahn 2006: 153) Notes: Lectotype, as designated by Syverstsen and Hasle (1988), is their SEM pictures 4 and 6 from the original material, obtained from the Natural History Museum (BM).
