The type species (holotype) of the genus Lemnicola is Lemnicola hungarica (Grunow) Round & Basson.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Gogorevia uniseriata (Yan Shi & B.-H.Kim) Kulikovskiy & Kociolek.
