Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Schizymenia is Schizymenia dubyi (Chauvin ex Duby) J.Agardh.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Schizymenia valentinae (N.A.Pisareva & Kloczkova) O.S.Belous, Skriptsova & Shibneva.
